Unicorn Overlord is out. It’s lived up to the demo so far and I’m looking forward to continuing my playthrough. My only complaint really is that I understand there is a kind of ‘choose Alain’s partner’ mechanic later on and I just… Don’t really want to? I get why it’s there, but I kinda wish the story would just be confident enough in its ability to tell a good story and develop characters’ relationships (which I feel is warranted confidence) and give me a forced love interest. There’s a deeper conversation there which also ties into my frustrations with modern Fire Emblem, but that’s for another time. Without further ado, a few silly images I put together (don’t take them too seriously):

Footnote 1: Preemptive thanks to Video Game Friend for letting me spam his Twitter account with my own screenshots.
Footnote 1A: ‘Yeah, thanks for that. I let it slide without comment before, but people are going to think I’m weird based on the crap you think is funny.’ — the Twisted Jerk
Footnote 1B: Oh, come on. Like you’ve never posted weird stuff before. I mean, you’re the one who played Shining Resonance Refrain and you’re worried about this?
Footnote 1C: ‘You liked that game too and you took a screenshot of Berenice solely to show off her legs.’
Footnote 1D: Those things are like tree-trunks! Our friends needed to know!
Footnote 1E: ‘Whatever. Just make sure people know what’s you and what’s me.’
Footnote 2: ‘You do realize not everyone knows who Kaga is just by the last name, right? Especially since he has nothing to do with Unicorn Overlord?’ — the Twisted Jerk
Footnote 2A: Quiet, you. I’m pretty sure the Venn diagram between UO and FE has a very large center.
